HOW TO

Resolve a Lack of Water Flow Issue

If your shower has stopped flowing, is only blowing air, or the water flow has become weak or inconsistent, this video shows the simple checks to get it working again.

Shower Head Help & FAQs

My shower is blowing air and not water. What should I do?

If your shower head is blowing air, the inner tube may have become disconnected or dislodged from the hose fitting inside the tank.

Unscrew the hose connector cap and check that the inner tube is connected tightly and securely to the hose. Push the tube firmly back onto the fitting, then place it back inside the tank and screw the cap on tightly.

I’m having trouble getting a continuous flow of water. What should I do?

If the water flow is stopping, spitting, sputtering, or blowing air, the tube inside the tank may have detached from the fitting or may have a small split.

Watch the water flow video above, then try these steps:

  1. Unscrew the cap connector and check the inner tube is securely attached to the hose fitting.
  2. If you find a small split in the tube, rotate the tube and re-attach it so the split section is not sitting on the fitting.
  3. Push the tube on firmly and make sure it is secure.
  4. Place the tube back inside the shower and screw the cap tightly in place.

These steps should help restore water flow. If the tube needs replacing, a replacement tube can be purchased separately here.

Why is water dripping from the shower head when it’s not being used?

This can happen if there is still pressure built up inside the tank.

After using your shower, release any leftover pressure by gently lifting the pressure release valve. Water can still be inside the tank while doing this - it’s the remaining pressure causing the shower head to drip.

The trigger on my shower head has popped off. What should I do?

If the trigger has popped off but you still have the trigger piece, you may only need replacement shower head clips.

If the trigger piece is missing or the shower head is damaged, you will need a replacement shower head.

My shower head feels blocked or the spray is weak. What should I do?

Minerals, sand, salt, or general build-up can affect the spray over time.

Clean the shower head thoroughly, switch through each spray mode, and make sure the hose and inner tube are connected securely.
