What's the difference between the PRO shower and other showers?
The difference being that the Pro 10L shower is FDA approved as food grade - which means it’s 100% safe to drink from too.
Our 5L and 8L showers are made from High-quality HDPE plastic (BPA-free) – so they are safe for a shower but not for a sip.
How long does the water last?
There are 10 different showerhead modes that all use water in different ways. Here's the water run times and what you can expect from your shower:
- 10L shower: 5-11 minutes
- 8L shower: 3-6 minutes
- 5L shower: 2-4 minutes
How can I warm the water?
It’s simple! Just fill your shower tank with warm water <50°C/122°F (for safety reasons and to protect the unit itself).
The 4mm neoprene cover will then keep it warm for a few hours so you can enjoy a nice and toasty shower post-plunge.
Alternatively, just leave your shower in a nice sunny spot and the black tank will naturally warm up your water.
How long does the water stay warm?
This varies depending on your surroundings, the temperature of the water you filled it with and the climate, so it’s difficult to predict.
With an average day temp of 18°C, a Beach Soul Shower will keep the water warm for a couple of hours.
If it's really cold outside, you'll need to give it some TLC.
By that we mean you should wrap an extra layer around your portable shower to keep it nice and snug (e.g. a towel, blanket etc..)
This will ensure the water stays warm - even if you live in an area that experiences low outdoor temps.
What size shower should I choose?
We’re happy to help you find the right size shower for your needs, but the best place to start is to ask yourself two things:
1. How will I use it?
2. For how many people?
For individuals, a 5L compact shower should do the trick.
For couples, surfers, campers or larger families you’ll find a 8L everyday shower or a 10L pro shower is perfect.
If you like long lazy showers, we recommend up sizing!
Do I need to continually pump for the shower to work?
Nope. You only need to pump it 7 to 9 times initially to build pressure (with a few top-up pumps when needed).
In saying that, the number of pumps required will vary depending on the showerhead mode you’ve chosen as they all use the water at differently.
Can I shower hands-free?
Sure can! Just flick the switch to facilitate a continuous stream of water - no nozzle hold necessary.

How heavy are the showers when full?
Taking the weight of the Portable Showers themselves into account and with the understanding that 1L equals approx 1 kg...
- a 5L shower will weigh 6.5 kg
- an 8L shower will weigh just over 10 kg
- a 10L shower will weight approx 12.75kg
